» Tina_Coruth - Hi Jerri!

Hi Jerri!
I'm so glad you could come to fairs with me. I bet you would like them in real life. I imagine that except for some regional differences, there are more similarities, with the number similarity being - fun!

I understand that those pot bellied pigs just keep growing and growing -- so watch out if your sister decides to get one!

Now I need to look back at your articles. I remember reading about the Elephant ears. I can't remember what they are though. I remember wondering if they were similar to fried dough. A memory is a terrible thing to lose, especially when trying to remember "elephant" ears -- LOL

Thanks for stopping by, Jerri. I am always happy to see you, my friend.

» Tina_Coruth - How romantic

How romantic to have met your husband at a fair! I bet that's a wonderful story. My story is not quite so picturesque -- I met my husband at a gas station. LOL

Thank you for stopping by and making such nice comments. It's nice to meet a real 4H er!

» Red - Christina, I forgot ....

to mention that I belonged to 4H. I showed calves at the fair and had a great time doing so. I never won, but my brother did and that made me very perturbed. I hated letting him beat me as I was always better in school than he.

Thanks for bringing back those memories. We'll talk soon.

» Tina_Coruth - Hi Mary,

Hi Mary,
You were in the 4H -- that's great! That must have been a lot of fun, well, except for the part where brother beat you out. LOL Really, I'm impressed. I always wanted to be in the 4H, but I was a city girl, not much chance of raising calves in the back yard!

Thanks for visiting again. I'm always happy to see you here and read your comments. Take care.

» Dubh_Sidhe - Oh, Tina!

This is so super and I'll take a doll house! The fairs in New Hampshire sound positively action-packed. Thanks for the opportunity which, at my age, I will probably never get otherwise. You should submit this to a travel magazine!

» Renie_Burghardt - I like it!

Hi Tina. I like your new old name!

Our Fair is going on now, but unfortunately, the deer have discovered my tomatoes. I saw one doe the other day with a huge tomato in her mouth, with twin fawns in tow, and she looked funny, and I bet I did, too, as I got out there with the broom and chased them off. Oh well, you win some and you lose some!

Take care. See you again, soon.

Renie (with the same old name. hehe)

» Tina_Coruth - Hi Virginia,

Hi Virginia,
I thought of you when I wrote about the doll houses. I remember the first one I ever saw was at the Deerfield Fair -- many years ago. It was so beautiful, and the detail so fine, I wanted to take it home!!! It's not hard for me to imagine why you love to create miniatures.
Thank you for stopping by, I am always happy to see you.

» Tina_Coruth - Thanks Renie!

Thanks Renie! :-)

I hope you can get some pictures of your giant tomatoes before the deer scoff them all up. Actually, I really would like to see a picture of the doe with the tomato in her mouth and you chasing her off with the broom!!

» Mugwump53 - Gift Exchange

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, Tina. You are the recipient of the Christmas Gift Exchange. It was hard to choose a worthy article, since they are all so wonderful. You really bring your beautiful state to life, and we all get to experience the wonders of New Hampshire through your articles. I chose this one because it is so representative of all that is New Hampshire. Also, I had great fun on this cybertrip to the fair. I could almost taste and smell the "fair" foods.

This is one everyone should re-read (or read if they missed it). Thanks for this great treat, especially since it was fat-free. Happy Holidays.
