New Hampshire: How Sweet It Is!Read the article this discussion is about
This archived discussion is "read only". « Previous 1 2 Next » » Tina_Coruth - Thank you! Thank you! I'm so glad you stopped by. :-)Christina -- posted by Tina_Coruth » MercyWriter - Re: How sweet it is! Christina,What a fascinating article! You really put alot of work into it. =) I knew that Maple Syrup came from New England and Southeastern Canada, but I DIDN'T realize it ONLY came from there. I learned something. =) Loved the Native American tale of its discovery. Awesome article, jam packed with "sweet" information. Lianne Suite101 Editor: Ireland's Mythical History -- posted by MercyWriter » Tina_Coruth - Thank you, Lianne Thank you, Lianne. I didn't know about the geographical area of maple sugaring until I started researching this article. I thought it was amazing. Also, living in NH, I always took maple syrup for granted and therefore, never stopped to think that it only made sense that the Native Americans would have discovered it first. I guess I am living proof that saying -- "the more I learn, I realize the less I know!" LOLThank you for your kind comments. :-) -- posted by Tina_Coruth » Red - Christmas Gift Exchange... Tina,At first I was not sure what article to bring forward for the Christmas Gift Exchange but then I spotted this one. I enjoyed reading it again and with Maple Syrup Time coming in a couple of months, it seemed fitting that this should be the one. Merry Christmas, my dear friend. You are a terrific writer and a Forever Friend. New Hampshire couldn't have a better goodwill ambassador. May God and His angels smile on you and yours this Holiday Season. -- posted by Red » Tina_Coruth - Re: Christmas Gift Exchange... In response to message posted by Red:Hi Mary, I remember I just met you when this article was published and you had written a maple sugaring time article, too! And now you are a dear friend. I hope your holidays are filled with joy, love, and laughter! Thank you! Tina -- posted by Tina_Coruth » Dubh_Sidhe - Christmas Gift Exchange I have been eating a lot of waffles lately with maple syrup and remembered this article. So I am back to read again and explore the links, and wondering how it is looking in New Hampshire on this date in December. Merry Christmas, Tina!-- posted by Dubh_Sidhe » Red - Re: Re: Christmas Gift Exchange... In response to message posted by Tina_Coruth:Yes, we had just met when we wrote the maple syrup articles. I see where Virginia has visited yours as well. Apparently she is looking for maple syrup. Well, she can find it in a couple of months in either Ontario or New Hampshire. I'm looking forward to that time of year once again. First though, I am looking forward to Christmas. I'm glad that this article brought us together. You friendship is a treasure and something I will value forever. -- posted by Red » Tina_Coruth - Re: Christmas Gift Exchange In response to message posted by Dubh_Sidhe:Hi Lee, I'm so sorry I missed this post!
