I enjoyed your article on maple syrup! I found it interesting on how the Indians made their discovery of this sweet treasure! Keep up the good work!!

Christina,

What a fascinating article! You really put alot of work into it. =) I knew that Maple Syrup came from New England and Southeastern Canada, but I DIDN'T realize it ONLY came from there. I learned something. =) Loved the Native American tale of its discovery. Awesome article, jam packed with "sweet" information.

Thank you, Lianne. I didn't know about the geographical area of maple sugaring until I started researching this article. I thought it was amazing. Also, living in NH, I always took maple syrup for granted and therefore, never stopped to think that it only made sense that the Native Americans would have discovered it first. I guess I am living proof that saying -- "the more I learn, I realize the less I know!" LOL

Thank you for your kind comments. :-)

» Red - Christmas Gift Exchange...

Tina,

At first I was not sure what article to bring forward for the Christmas Gift Exchange but then I spotted this one. I enjoyed reading it again and with Maple Syrup Time coming in a couple of months, it seemed fitting that this should be the one.

Merry Christmas, my dear friend. You are a terrific writer and a Forever Friend. New Hampshire couldn't have a better goodwill ambassador. May God and His angels smile on you and yours this Holiday Season.

» Dubh_Sidhe - Christmas Gift Exchange

I have been eating a lot of waffles lately with maple syrup and remembered this article. So I am back to read again and explore the links, and wondering how it is looking in New Hampshire on this date in December. Merry Christmas, Tina!

Yes, we had just met when we wrote the maple syrup articles. I see where Virginia has visited yours as well. Apparently she is looking for maple syrup. Well, she can find it in a couple of months in either Ontario or New Hampshire. I'm looking forward to that time of year once again. First though, I am looking forward to Christmas.

I'm glad that this article brought us together. You friendship is a treasure and something I will value forever.
