Dreams,I Ching, and Tarot are tools that make it easier to "discover" what you already know at some level.

» Pinky102 - Down The Road--Maybe

Some time, down the road--maybe a piece or so, those of us who live in Western Civilization will realize the main differences between the gods of our mythology and the ones the people have in Eastern Civilizations.

In the East, people are seen as being an outgrowth of god whereas we, here in the West, see god as being a separate being from us.

These two different ideas seem to be in contact with each other during the present time and something is happening to our understandings. Jesus may have started it with his teaching that God is within you. That was an extreme at the time and it was probably the thing that led to his crucifixion as much as anything else he said or stood for.

At least that's what I have heard.

» sacred_insights - Thank you for this article!

Among other things, she wrote of divination as a means of expanding ways of knowing one’s self, of wellness and rejoining body and mind, of growth uniting body and soul.

Bingo... What I do as a medium/ psychic reader is not carnival. It is strictly listening to God's messengers when folks are in need and relaying the message as best I can. Some folks get it some don't but I do sincerely try. While I do make some of my living that way out of necessity, I freely give of my time and talents. The psychic messages, like spiritual healing, are about healing and helping others in their self discovery which is what the spiritual journey is all about IMHO!

I do not predict futures. I point out possible paths and encourage the seeker with the help of their spirit guides, teachers, and guardians to make better choices for themselves. Like you used the Tarot, Runes and I Ching, folks use my ability as a clairvoyant and a psychometric medium to gain clarity in their lives. Over time I try to help them understand that they can seek this kind of spiritual communication for themselves and that they do not need to be dependant on a medium. They are surprised because doing this puts me out of work in their view, but I am not all about making money. Sadly, too many folks seem to want to avoid the personal responsibility that is required for establishing their own divining methods and for managing their own lives.

Like you, I try to listen (divine) daily to continue with my own self discovery. That is what meditation and writing does for me. And in 10+ years of living this way, I have discovered that the more I listen and apply what I learn from my connection to God and Spirit the better my life and spiritual journey becomes.

Thanks again for a wonderful article! smile
