In the book's introduction to "The Time of Her Time," Mailer asserts that only by removing a word would his publisher at G.P. Putnam's agree to include the story in "Advertisements for Myself." A year or two later, Mailer says, Putnam's published "Lolita." Thus, says Mailer, "The Time of Her Time" is "the godfather of Lolita."Robert Powers -- posted by RobertP_2 » michaelrusso - mailer review you are an asshole. it seems you like mailer, but afraid to give him kudos because it wouldn't be PC.
