I was the tender age of 12 and still believed in everlasting love. I suppose I still do to some extent, just not quite as dreamy. But, that's another story, for another day. Anyway, onto my story....I read this book over and over and over. And somewhere along the way through my travels as a kid, I lost my copy of it. This book has remained my absolute all-time favorite. So, I'm in my 20's, living in Lewiston, Idaho...suddenly, I am overcome with an overwhelming urge to immerse myself in the saga of Brooke and Gregory. I go to many, many bookstores. Even a few rare bookstores. No one, and I do mean no one, could get me a copy. Then, lo and behold, there in a local thrift store, beckoning to me is "Always." I grabbed that book and rushed to the register! Well, to make a rather long saga short, I loaned it to a friend with the strictest of rules to return it upon finishing the book. Needless to say, I never got it back. This was about 3 years ago. Recently, while living here in lovely San Diego I again found myself on the quest of finding that sacred tale of love. After spending the entire day at various bookstores, I finally found it. And where you may ask did I find my sacred treasure.....the Salvation Army. Sincerely -- posted by brookeashley
