Kathleen, another fantastic article about the women of Nevada. I loved the article about Mary Fulstone. In those days it was very difficult for a woman doctor to be accepted.

My great-great grandfather was a doctor. He also made housecalls. His mode of transportation - horse and buggy. People didn't have the money to pay. They gave him eggs, chickens and anything else that he would take as payment. They also sent for him when animals were sick.
