Hi Renie,

Come by American Dinnerware and read the message that is on the "Read Any Good Books" thread. A collector of Royal China added some information about your Royal Violet dishes.

Hope you're having a good day in the mountains. Are the leaves turning? Did you go on your leaf tour yet?

Take care,
Linda

Hi Linda,

John's post was really interesting. We figured the Royal Violet pattern goes back to the 40s or 50s.

The leaves here are turning, but have a way to go yet for a good showing. That should happen around the last week of October. I haven't gone on leaf peeping tour yet. But, of course, I don't really have to go on a tour, to see their progress. Each time I drive to town, 10 miles away, or just walk in my woods, my eyes get a feast! Thanks so much for alerting me to John's post, Linda. Hope you're having a wonderful Sunday. Renie

Hi Renie,

I was glad John came by with more information. As a collector of Royal China, he has first-hand experience. I think it's fun to find out just a little bit more.

Isn't fall a wonderful time of year? I just love the colors when the leaves turn. And you're right there in "leaf central" for viewing it all daily. Hope you'll take your camera when it gets really good and share some photos with us. I may live in a city now, but I'm a country girl and still get "a hankerin' " to walk in the woods.

Linda

Hi Linda, yes, John's post was great! By the way, I also own some Currier and Ives dishes. Doesn't everyone? Hehe.

The colors are coming in well now, and I'm planning on taking lots of pictures. Thank you for visiting again. It's always a pleasure to hear from you. Take care! Renie
