That's wonderful news, Sara. Hmm, as far as a huge audience, well, I don't know how huge it is, but I'm blessed with wonderful friends and readers, and I'm grateful for them. Perhaps visiting topics that you find interesting, and leaving a comment would help to bolster the discussion. But many who visit topics never leave a comment, and make up the largest audience. And that, too, matters a great deal. You are so kind! Thanks for visiting this morning. -- posted by Renie_Burghardt » WebbQuest - Re: Re: Re: Re: A peek In response to message posted by Renie_Burghardt:Renie, You are so kind, too - particularly for replying to your readers so faithfully! I really appreciate the tips you've given and promise to adhere to them (I also replied to you at my column)! -- posted by WebbQuest » wbeye - Where I Belong Renie - I, too have deep roots in the natural world. People ask why my husband and I stay in chilly Montana, and we say, "Because we can't imagine living anywhere else!" We are comfortable in the beauty and wildness, and wouldn't trade it for any other place on earth. We travel to visit family in warmer climes, and are always anxious to get home -- we don't want to miss a glimpse of the moose mama tiptoeing through our yard, baby in tow, or the quiet sounds of elk calves calling to their mothers just outside our bedroom window. There's a lot to be said for contentment!-- posted by wbeye » kcruver - Sigh Ah how wonderful. So many people are unsure if they are doing the right thing in life, or unhappy about where they live. It is so nice that you have found your "perfect place" in life. I can kind of understand, as I feel the same way about the Pacific Northwest. I am always blown away by those mountains! However, the all-encompassing love you feel for nature and the animals in your world is the most impressive thing of all to me! What a big heart you have. Reading this was like taking a big breath of fresh air. I'm looking forward to the next article! I hope you had a fantastic summer; I know you must be looking forward to autumn.-- posted by kcruver » Renie_Burghardt - Re: Where I Belong In response to message posted by wbeye:Wendy, like you, I wouldn't trade where I live for any other place in the world, either! I feel most fortunate to be able to live here. Thanks so much for coming by. -- posted by Renie_Burghardt » Renie_Burghardt - Re: Sigh In response to message posted by kcruver:HiKendahl, well, it's my "perfect place," and I do love it. And caring about the wild things around here is "my way," even if it's frowned upon by some. But there are many beautiful places in this country I want to visit, among them the Pacific Northwest. Hope to get there one day soon. Thanks so much for coming by,Kendahl. I have missed you. But you've got so much going on in your life, and I understand how busy you have been. Great going! Take care, my friend. -- posted by Renie_Burghardt » Sunbear - Being where you are Hi Renie,Great article. Reminds me of growing up on the farm in North Carolina where we raised chickens for a while and had them around all the time growing up. They were always getting upset over hawks and would run for the trees for shelter. Snakes were a constant problem and N.C. has plenty of them too! Thanks for another inspiring, thoughtful essay, Renie. Your site is always a valuable visit. Actually, I only have 3 little hens now, who seem to be pretty secure, because I have a dog that guards them. -- posted by Renie_Burghardt « Previous 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 Next » Please follow the guidelines set forth in the Suite101 Posting Etiquette when adding to the discussion. |
