Hi Lynford, wow, what a neat story! I have never heard of "Blind Pigs." How interesting. Thank you for sharing it. I enjoyed it. I wonder if Hemingway ever tried some home made "Hooch?" Hope you get to Piggott, one of these days. So nice of you to come by. Have a happy holiday! Renie

Hi Renie, I really enjoyed learning about Hemingway's Piggott connection. It sounds like a lovely little town, and if I'm ever in the area, I will visit it. I also enjoyed the "Blind Pigs" story that Lynford wrote about. What colorful history! Thank you for a most entertaining read. I hope you have a wonderful 4th, Renie. Kim

I am, Renie. We close on our new house next month and have ours on the market. Selling a house is not my favorite way to spend my time, but a necessity if we want to live in our new (to us) house. It's a six-hour drive between here and there, so I'll be glad when we get settled. Tired of the drive between.

Jerri, I can relate. Selling and moving and stuff is a huge undertaking. But you have the compensation of knowing that you'll be close to your family, especially your grandchildren. So nice to hear from you, my friend. Take care!

Hi Renie,
That was very interesting. What a find. I lived in Springdale, Ark. a couple of times as a kid. Played in old John Tyson's grain elevator before he ever dreamed of chickens. Thanks, Mary Kion

Thoroughly enjoyed my visit as per usual, Renie. I've just returned from two weeks in the outback visiting out of the way places, like Piggott, featuring Australian writers. Fascinating. I'm hoping some of the talent will rub off. smile
All the best.Glenice

Hi Glenice, I love literary destinations. I'm planning a trip to a place in the Ozarks, where Laura Ingalls Wilder lived and wrote her Little House books, and where she is buried. Thanks so much for visiting. Always a pleasure to see you ,Glenice.
