Renie,
Those of us who have been fortunate not to have suffered the terrible sadness of war can but only imagine what it must have been like.

You were so lucky to have had wonderful loving grandparents to take care of you.

I do believe that, that was your mother that came to you and not a dream. I had a similar vision from my grandmother on my fathers side a year after she passed away.

We lost our mother in March, she was 91 years old and had not been well. It would have been what she wanted as she could not go on any longer. Knowing this it didn't make it any easier as you have only one mother, and if it had not been for her we would not be hear.

This mothers day I tried to focus on the little mothers in our family and the lovely Grandchildren they presented us with. They said "Happy Mothers Day" to me and I said it to them. They are very precious.

I loved your article, you are so free with your sharing of your life with us, it helps us to understand other peoples lives.

Take care,

Crabapple.

Hi Angie, thanks so much for visiting and your kind posting. Yes, times shared with loved ones are most important, for time can slip away much too quickly. Take care!

Crabapple, yes, I was lucky to have my grandparents. They took great care of me during the war, and always. I do believe my mother came to me. She really wanted me to get in touch with my father. I had much sadness, but much gladness as well, in my life, and I'm grateful to God for everything. My experiences have helped me become the person I am. Grandchildren are precious, aren't they? They make life joyful. Thank you for sharing your thoughts, too, Crabapple. Your visits here are always appreciated. Take care! Renie

Renie, what a sweet, sad, and touching story. Thank you for sharing it. I'm sure you brought as much joy to your grandmother as she gave you. You must have been her consolation when she lost her daughter.

Hope you are doing well and are enjoying springtime in the woods.

Linda

Hi Renie

This was indeed a Special Voice from the HEART that found the right companion... DAISIES are children's flowers... they open in the morning with the light of day and fold when the sun goes down. DAISY MEANS THE DAY'S EYE AND THE EYE OF THE DAY.

The fact that you chose this simple, lovely flower, shows the illuminating joy and sincerity of your mother's and father's love for you. It is a BLESSING.

I'm sending you aRoslindRoslind

Hi Linda, thank you for the always kind words, and visit. We're having tons of rain in the Ozarks, and I feel like I'm living in a Rain Firest, these days. But everything is growing like mad, including the grass. But at least May hasn't been its usual hot self. Hope all is well with you, Linda! Take care. Renie

Roslind, thank you for telling me what daisy means. I never knew that. My grandmother loved wildflowers, and the daisies are so abundant at this time of the year. You are so kind and nice with your posting. I thank you very much for that. And I'm grateful for the RoslindRoslind! smile I send you blessings as well. Take care! Renie

Hi Renie....

I'm giggling , because I meant to say, " I'm sending you a HUG " ... but I quess that's the same as a RoslindRoslind... Sometimes I type too fast and the computer reacts. You must have wondered what I meant???... Sorry for the oversight.. This really was a SPECIAL ARTICLE.

Keep smiling
Roslind
