A Mothers Day Lament

I never saw my father again, unfortunately, but we corresponded and talked on the phone, several times, until he passed away in 1987. He begged me to come and see him, but I was too afraid. It's a sorrow in my life. And as a last act, and great surprise to me, my father put me in his will, leaving me the little farm with 11 acres of land.
