Getaway Artist of the Woods-The Gray FoxRead the article this discussion is about
This archived discussion is "read only". » Mary Trotter Kion - Grey Fox Hi Renie, Just checking you out to see what's doing. I didn't know there was such a difference between red and gray foxes. Interesting. We had a lot of red foxes up where I lived in Mo. as a kid. I remember my folks going on secret fox hunts when they started to outnumber the chickens. Thanks, Mary-- posted by Mary Trotter Kion » Renie_Burghardt - Re: Fox Photo In response to message posted by earlytimes:Hi Earl, yep, zoom lens. He does look like Wiley Coyote, except a smaller version. -- posted by Renie_Burghardt » Renie_Burghardt - Re: Grey Fox In response to message posted by lastword:Hey Mary, nice to see you here! Yes, there is a lot of difference between the red and gray fox. For one thing, the red fox can't climb trees! Thanks so much for coming by. Happy Easter. Thank you for the kind words about the article. Finally, the flu bug is on it's way out of here, thank goodness. Mandy especially had a nasty case of it. I enjoyed this article very much, and was surprised to learn that this "southern boy fox" can climb trees. What a foxy move! LOL. Hope you're doing well, Renie, and enjoying spring. We have snow, but it's starting to melt. Happy Easter from both Mandy and me. I hope the Easter Bunny is good to you. See you soon. I'm doing great, Kim, and going to a big Easter buffett Sunday. Hehe. So I'm fasting now! -- posted by Renie_Burghardt » Renie_Burghardt - Re: help?! In response to message posted by sandc:Hi, actually, the main predator of foxes is man. Wolves, lynxes, etc. used to hunt foxes, but there is so few of them left now, that a fox only has to worry about man. Eagles occassionally will kill a fox, so will coyotes. I hope this helps.
