Brr, that's pretty cold for Texas, Sherrie! But yes, spring will be here soon. When it gets that cold though, it isn't soon enough, is it? Thank you for coming by!

Hi Renie,

What a gorgeous essay--Wordsworthian in itself as it expresses delight in the world around us.

It's pouring out and windy here today (my first stormy day by the sea!), but my immediate thoughts upon awaking were, 'great, rain for the flowers waiting to bloom!' Thanks for the sneak peak at budding happiness--a lovely, lovely essay, Renie.

Happy weekend to you,
Pamela

Hi Anne, Jonquils are amazing little flowers. They keep on blooming through snow and even ice! It got frigid here, in the past two days, and the poor jonquils are sort of drooping, but will spring up again today, since the sun is out. Thank you kindly for the nice words and visit. I hope all is well with everyone there. smile Take care! Renie

It's cold here as well, Nancy, but sunny this morning. Our blustery day of yesterday seems to have moved to Ohio! smile I'm so glad you enjoyed my little ode to joy and jonquils. Thank you for visiting. Have a great Sunday! Renie

Hi Pamela, isn't it amazing how one's prespective changes in more favorable settings? smile In the city a stormy day is gloomy, in the country it's just nature, getting the ground ready for spring flowers! smile Thanks so much for coming by, and for the kind words on my little essay. Happy weekend of unpacking, to you. Renie

» dandelion - Thanks, I needed that.

Your article and Jonquil picture gave me joy.
Thanks. It's a good way to start a rainy day. Also thanks for Psalm 37.

It will be at least another month before any daffodils bloom in Ontario. One of the things I love best about my mother's garden is the big clumps of daffodils in April. And Mom liked to recite Wordsworth's poem. It is one of my favourites. Thanks for the lovely image of things to look forward to.

If you don't mind looking back, my newest article has some images and reflections on deep winter at the cottage.

Oh, thank you Dandelion! I'm so pleased that the picture gave you joy! Psalm 37 is lovely, isn't it? God wants us to delight in Him, and his beautiful world. Take care!

Wordsworth's poem is one of my favorites as well. And I always recite it with much joy, when the jonquils/daffodils begin to bloom. Your deep winter at your cottage is beatifully written, as always. I enjoyed it, but am glad we don't have all that beautiful snow, here. smile Thank you for visiting.

Renie, You reminded that the true source of joy comes from family and God's creation, not in things that money buys. Can't wait for the jonquils and dogwood blossoms!
