What a neat idea, Anne! We'll have to try that. But it will be a while before our daffodils, or are they jonquils? bloom.

Renie, I'm sorry I'm late, but am having more puter problems. I really needed this lovely reminder of spring, today. We've had miserable weather for over a week now. Thank you for another beautiful read, and wonderful photo. I hope your weather is better. Take care, Renie. Kim and Mandy

» jerrib - What lovely words from you, Renie.

And I love Wordsworth's poem. This article really does make one happy. How could it not? You have that gift, Renie.

My daffodils have been up for a while but they haven't bloomed yet. Soon, I'm thinking,. Until they do I'll enjoy this wonderful photo.

Thanks for a sunny day greeting!

Hi Renie,

This is a wonderful reminder of spring. Our jonquils were blooming beautifully until the third night of this cold weather. Now they're all drooping over. Guess I'll just have to come and gaze at your beautiful photograph of your jonquils. Isn't that yellow just the most wonderful color? I collect dishes that are that color.

Hope things are going well for you and that the cold weather didn't last too long there. Tomorrow should be nice. I'm looking forward to taking a long walk.

Linda

Hi Anne, no, I have never tried the colored water trick, but I will try it now. What a fun idea. Blue and pink jonquils should be so pretty! Doing okay, Anne, and am glad to hear you're all doing well. It's been cold here as well, but going up to 60 today! Yippee, spring will be back! Take care, my friend. Renie

Hi Linda, yes, I hear that even Texas got frigid. Hope it's warming up by now. Poor little jonquils got cold feet. But the sun should make them spring right back up again. Thank you for coming by, Linda. I'll be outside a lot today, too. But first, I have to run and pick up a kitty from the vet! Take care, and enjoy the day! Renie

Hi Renie,

It's funny. Recently, I heard my grandmother refer to her jonquils, and I asked what the difference between jonquils and daffodils were. Here, I got my answer. Good article. Very informative. I loved the photo.

Hope you are doing well, Renie!

Shannon

Hi Renie, I love the poem, the picture, the essay! Lovely reminders of spring. We are to have a spring-like day today, although my daffs aren't blooming yet. But they have buds, so pretty soon. I'll check them out and find out if they are jonquils or daffodils! It's always a pleasure to visit here, Renie. Happy spring! Serena
