Thank you for coming by with your kind and caring message. It is good to know that so many countries in the free world support us. It was good to hear from you, Crabapple. Take care as well. And I thank you for being such a caring person. I've been blessed with good friends, and for that I'm grateful. Lets make a pact to fight the "downs" and encourage the "ups," from now on, okay? You game? God bless, Jerri! Renie -- posted by Renie_Burghardt » Renie_Burghardt - Re: Beautiful In response to message posted by JMKDREA:Oh, and did you pick lots of apples? I bet the girls enjoyed that. Thanks for coming by. Talk to you soon. -- posted by Renie_Burghardt » earlytimes - Red Fir Hi Renie,I love trees too. They had an article in the paper about a Red Fir tree up in the mountains at the 7,500 foot level that is 700 years old and 150 feet tall. Now that is a majestic tree. Great article as usual. Of course, you are near all the majestic redwoods as well, you lucky guy. Thanks so much for coming by. Hope you're doing well, Earl. Thanks, Renie, for eloquently describing the solace to be found in nature. As I've been hiking with my daughter this year, I believe she's caught my wild enthusiasm for the wonders of the great outdoors. Or perhaps hers has rekindled mine. I hope that as she grows up she never forgets the joy there is outside, all around. I know why you visited those trees. Thanks for sharing them here. ~ Diane-- posted by ddstresing » Renie_Burghardt - Re: I think that I shall never see... In response to message posted by ddstresing:Thank you for you lovely message, Diane. Keep enjoying the wonders of nature with your daughter. It's a wonderful enthusiasm to share. When my granddaughters come to visit, all they want to do is go for a hike in the woods and fields. They are growing up to love nature as well, and for that I'm thankful. Thanks again for visiting all the way from my old stomping grounds, Ohio, Diane! Best wishes. Hope you get to go soon. I'm going back to Cupola Pond in April, to see the spring flowers like the yellow lady's slipper, blooming. You've been such a faithful visitor, Angie.
