» JMKDREA - Photo's

These are wonderful!
The girls were thrilled to see
the deer and insects too. You
did a super job capturing the
hummingbird and your other buddies
in the woods!
xox,

» Fort_Spunky - Maybe I'm losing it?

Hi Renie,

I read your article over the weekend and I could have sworn I left you a note. But I sure didn't see it tonight. I must have been composing it in my head and gone for a sandwich. Who knows?

Anyway, I wanted you to know that I think your photos look great and that I really enjoyed reading about each plant. I particularly enjoyed seeing the wild Bergamot. Is that the same ingredient as is used in Earl Gray tea? (My favorite!) You always do a wonderful job of drawing the reader into your articles.

I can't wait to see the photos from the River.

Did I hear that it's cooler there now?? Can you send some coolness on down to Texas?

Take care,

Linda, isn't that funny, I thought the same thing here, that I had already read and left a message on your new article. Then, I went to see, and I hadn't! I'm not sure if wild bergamot is used in Earl Gray tea or not. I'll have to look into that. Bergamot has a delicious, spicy flavor, and enhances any tea.

Yes, it's been cooler here, Linda. Upper 80's, mostly, and rain coming in for several days again. But summer ain't over yet. Hope it cools down some in the Dallas area! Thank's so much for coming by, Linda. I'm posting some of my river photos in the Photo Gallery, which is on my welcome page. (Hint, hint.} (-smile Take care, too. Renie

Thanks for letting me know where to look for your Photo Gallery. I love the photos of the river. No wonder you love spending time there. It's so peaceful looking.

I'm really enjoying your digital camera, too. I love seeing all the beauties of your countryside.

Isn't the river beautiful? It is peaceful there. I could spend hours on the boat. In fact, I do! Thanks so much for the nice words on my Photo Gallery. I always enjoy your photos as well. Take care. Renie

» kcruver - lovely!

Oh how neat that you have a digital camera! A lot of my friends have them and I love getting e-mails with pictures that they have taken. I liked your shots a lot. I can't believe how perfect the butterfly one is; that could be on a postcard. I wish that I were more of a morning person like you. I love being awake early in the morning, but I just can't seem to turn in early enough at night. I'm just a stubborn night owl I guess.

So--I'm going on my 60 mile Avon 3-Day walk this weekend. Very exciting! I'm also pretty nervous, but it will be loads of fun I'm sure.

It's pretty hot here--you must be boiling in your neck of the woods! Have a wonderful week, until next time,

In response to message posted by kcruver:

Hi Kendahl! Well, actually it's not as hot here as it is everywhere else. The heat is in some parts of Missouri, like Kansas City, but not in the Ozarks. I mean, it's hot, but 90F, on the average, but hasn't been higher. Pretty unusual for us this time of the year. It's been quite bearable. And today, it's only in the upper 80s and cloudy, with rain coming in tonight.

Isn't the butterfly picture nice? I love it, too.

Thanks so much for coming by, Kendahl. Good luck on the 60 mile walk. I can't wait to hear all about it! Take care. Renie

» claymania - Hi again

Was thinking about your article, and your query about the lovely yellow flowers. Might they be coreopsis? Just a thought. Take care, Nancy

Hi Nancy, no, it isn't coreopsis. They are a smaller, more deeper yellow flower. But I appreciate the guess. Hope it has cooled down some in Ohio! Take care, too. Renie
