Hi Gay, a pleasure to see you here. So true about stopping the trembles in the sixties! But your photo's are always magnificent, Gay. Thanks so much for coming by. Rested up from your great trip yet? Take care. Renie

Hello, so true about the digital camera. It really sparks ones interest in photography. One looks at things a new way, thinking, "ah, that would make a good photo." I'm always scouting around for good subjects now. I even managed to capture a damselfly! Thank you so much for coming by here. Nice to have an English visitor. I hope you visit again. Best wishes, Renie

Hi Renie,

Years ago I worked in a camera store developing the film. I remember the worst mistake people made shooting outdoors was using high speed film like 400 and 1000 speed asa. It washed everything out because there was already so much light, particularly on a sunny day . 100 speed was best. Although the best outdoor pictures came from Kodak's 25 asa speed slide film. But you had to be into slides to use that film. I don't know much about digital cameras. I have been away from it for too long.
Beautiful pictures!

Thanks for the tip on the low speed film, Earl. Digitals are fun, I can tell you that much. Instant gratification! I always enjoy your comments, Earl. Take care. Renie

Hi Renie,
Well, I think your new passion is a wonderful addition to your articles, and I hope we'll be "seeing" lots more of your wonderful world of nature.
I was thrilled to learn that you keep your hibiscus all year round. We have two magnificent hibiscus trees this year, and hopefully ours will last through the winter, too.
Really enjoyed this article, Nancy

Hi Nancy, great to see you here again! Yes, I lug the hibiscus into the sun room in the fall, and at first, it loses its leaves, due to the transfer indoors. But it quickly recovers, grows new leaves, and begins blooming indoors throughout the winter. I have one huge one that stays indoors all year. The things is 7 feet tall, and still growing. Your hibiscus will have a hard time lasting, if you leave it outdoors, Nancy. But maybe if you insulate it well. I don't know. Since it's a tropical plant, it doesn't like cold weather.

Yes, I love my camera, and will be taking lots of pictures to add to the articles. Thanks again for coming by. Hope your summer is going well. Renie
