Hi Deb, I agree with you about nature being a free art gallery for all to view and admire. I love the butterfly weed, too. It's so vibrant and beautiful, and always surrounded by butterflies. Thanks so much for coming by and the nice comments. Hope things are going well in your world. Take care. Renie

Hi Tom, no it sure didn't take me long to get acclimated to my digital! Hehe. I love the thing. I stalk birds and insects now, trying to capture them on my camera. It's great fun for me. Well, and in winter, there will be interesting scenes to shoot, too, won't there? Although we don't get nearly as much a winter as Pa does. Thanks for coming by, Tom. Appreciate it. Renie

» SWALKER0 - You're a novice?

If these are the pictures you take when you're new at it, I can't wait to see what you do when you're "good"! Seriously, thank you for capturing and sharing your beautiful countryside. It's nice to see someplace that's still green in July.

Hi Renie, what a great and informative article. And the photo's are wonderful. I have a hibiscus, too, and didn't know the petals make a tasty tea! I'll have to try some. I love the shot of the butterfly weed with the butterfly on it. What an enjoyable article, but they always are. Hope you have a great day, and that it's not too hot there. See you later. Kim

Hi Laura Maria, Lalla! So nice to see you here. And what a nice compliment you give me. Thank you. Yes, my grandfather looks very handsome in his Huszar uniform. I tried scanning it, but because the picture is so old (from 1914, I believe) it just doesn't scan good. Too dark, and nothing shows up. I will see if someone else can do it.

Thank you again for visiting Nature Sketches, and I hope you visit here again. Take care and best wishes, Lalla! Renie
