Hi Renie,

Well, I guess it's going around. I had a note all ready to post to you and my AOL connection quit and I lost it. So, starting over...

I really enjoyed this article. You always have a way of painting a vivid mental picture. I bet those storks taking off in flight was an amazing sight. We have egrets that come to White Rock Lake which is a little lake near us in Dallas. I don't think they compare with storks though, but they are pretty white birds. I always enjoy seeing them when I drive by and now they will probably make me think of your storks and the story you told. Thanks for sharing a glimpse into your childhood.

Hi Linda, I'm so glad you enjoyed the story. I love egrets. I have a great blue heron that comes to my pond often, and I love watching it. I guess I just love animals, period! Hehe.

Hi Renie, I just wanted to tell you that I printed out the stork article and took it to my great-uncle, who was born in Poland. He loved it. It brought tears to his eyes. He is 81, and remembers the storks from his own childhood. Hope you are doing grea, Renie. See you again soon. Kim
