These Ozark Woods In OctoberRead the article this discussion is about
This archived discussion is "read only". « Previous 1 2 3 4 5 Next » » Nagga - Renie's essay Dear Renie,"Nagga" is the name my oldest grandson calls me, but in reality, I am your friend, Arlene. I love how you write. Sitting here in a windowless office, I can close my eyes and see the woods, as you see the woods. What an inspiration those trees must be for you, especially now, with the changing of the colors, and then again, in winter, when you are inside warm and cozy looking out at the snow. Keep writing and being healthy and happy for your prose both captures and adds to the beauty of the world. Arlene Uslander -- posted by Nagga » Renie_Burghardt - Arlene, Great To Have You Here! Aw, thank you for the beautiful message, Arlene. It makes me happy you were successfull in signing up for suite membership, so you can leave a message for me here. You are a wonderful friend, and a wonderful Nagga, too, I'm sure. Now that you have mastered the message board, I hope you come back often.Your friend always, -- posted by Renie_Burghardt » Ron46 - Interesting - Again!!!!!! I am learning something from you all of the time. I didn't know that only America, Japan, and Korea have trees of color. That is interesting. However, I do believe I remember seeing a red maple in the fall in Germany one time.I think that this is the last of your essays that are in this group. I mean that I have read. I am passing more and more your page to other people. I am in the hopes you have a huge following. I just told another friend about your work this morning. Now, that I have everything read. I am waiting for the pleasure of reading your next essay. Thanks for a wonderful wonderful insight into the Ozark lifestyle. That's really nice of you.

I wanted to extend a personal invitation to you because I’d like your wonderfully uplifting nature sketches, like this piece, to be an anchor to the whole event. Please join in!
I really appreciated your heartwarming comments on my Hungarian festival story and admire your tact in not mentioning all the editorial glitches which snuck by me at 2 AM. The second half will be up tomorrow – after proofreading. So if you find any errors in either feel free to comment. Now, about your parting Hungarian words . . .please don’t leave me in the dark like Mom and Gram used to do! I tried running them through some language translators but came up blank. Help!

I think an Autumn Harvest Festival will be a wonderful event, and I'm looking forward to contributing to it. And, of course, I already told you on your topic what the Hungarian phrases were. So, Koszonom Szepen that you visited here, and again, Viszont Latasra. -- posted by Renie_Burghardt » Renie_Burghardt - Re: Ozark Woods In response to message posted by serena31:Hey there, Serena, thanks so much for reading this old article. I'm doing well, and I hope you are, too. I remember the Metro Parks. They were beautiful at this time of the year, way back when I used to drive through them. -- posted by Renie_Burghardt » faithfulone - Leaf lesson Renie,I did not know how the weather affects the autumn colors. The ideal weather conditions you mentioned produce the best colors. What a variety of trees with their many colors you have nearby! All are painted by the Creator's hand! -- posted by faithfulone » Renie_Burghardt - Re: Leaf lesson In response to message posted by faithfulone:Susan, how nice of you to post on this old article. Thank you! This article was my second article ever, at the Suite, in 1999. The colors are quite nice this year as well, and I've been enjoying the Creator's handiwork for the past two weeks. -- posted by Renie_Burghardt « Previous 1 2 3 4 5 Next » Please follow the guidelines set forth in the Suite101 Posting Etiquette when adding to the discussion. |
