The Nature of Girls and BoysRead the article this discussion is about

» rahunter_nf - Good Argument Good argument for your thesis that "it is important to protect our children from stereotypical molds, but it is also important to respect their true natures."That my wife and I agree with you is illustrated by the fact that, although a couple days ago our little boy and girl spent considerable time helping my wife make cookies and right now they are playing toy cars together, less than half an hour ago our little boy was playing with his toy cars and our litte girl was helping my wife make more cookies, activities suggestive of their genders. -- posted by rahunter_nf » Betsy Gallup - Nothing Illustrates Your Point Clearer . . . than having boy/girl twins. When you can see the distinctions between two children who are the same age and have been raised under the same circumstances, it re-enforces how naturally different boys and girls are. And, also as you said, that doesn't mean force them into a stereotype, but appreciate and cater to the differences as much as you would the similarities. Glad I dropped by. . . . -- posted by Betsy Gallup
