I have three horses doing a transition from shoes using Strasser and its hard going. One is 25 and doing really well the other gelding is ten and has had abcess after abcess I also have a pony who had foundered. I bought him and the Strasser trim is what saved him but there has been times when I asked myself what am I doing!!!!!!! Then I look at my old boy who would have died this winter if not for the trim. He had stopped moving and just stood with his head hanging down and now he is every where and I can finally ride him bareback which I have never been able to do. Problem comes from people who don't follow the rules and don't understand what is going on. Educate your self, understand why, and give them time.
