Benign Breast Lumps: biopsy and mammogramRead the article this discussion is about

» biogardener - biopsy and mammogram Keri, you were indeed fortunate that your problem was found in time.I forgot to post here that I indeed had my mammogram in December, and this is the first time that I felt no pain. The provincial facility now employs an x-ray technician with the Midas touch. I mentioned to my family physician that this was the first time that I felt no discomfort, and he told me that everyone whom he has sent there in the last little while has said the same thing. The moral of the story: It is possible to give a pain-free mammogram. It is necessary, however, to find a person who cares. My very first mammogram was given by a man, and the pain was unbearable. He had obviously no understanding of what it feels like. Maybe he should have had to undergo the same procedure with a certain sensitive part of his own anatomy to be able to identify with the women he was man-handling. -- posted by biogardener
