» StrmDncr - Read the Labels

I was recently diagnosed with diabetes and am now in the habit of reading labels. It’s amazing what you can find on a label. I also suffer from migraines. Someone once told me it was from drinking too much coffee so I limited my coffee to one cup in the morning. It didn’t help. Then I heard it was coffee and chocolate. Naturally I tried that as well. It did help some what but I still got the headaches. So one day I stopped to read the ingredients in Excedrin for Migraines, since I used it often. The third ingredient was caffeine. Imagine my surprise.
About the same time a co-worker was having a problem with a painful lump on her breast (most likely the same as yours). She was a “BIG” coffee drinker and was told to stop ASAP. Within two weeks the pain was gone and the lump vanished a few weeks later. But, she started getting headaches.
Between the two of us doing some research we found that some people can’t handle caffeine while others have no problem at all.

It turned out we both needed small amounts of caffeine throughout the day to keep the headaches at bay but too much caused our problems to return.

I now limit my intake according to what I eat throughout the day. I have to read every label. Coffee, tea, soda, and chocolate are all on my hit list. I still indulge, but in small amounts.

Now I have to watch the sugar too… Such is life!
