» mykidzmom - what a great article!

Wow! This is a great article! Thank you so much! I am due in a couple weeks, and your article is very encouraging. I've considered giving birth unassisted, and if it happens I'm all for it, but I'm not quite conifident enough to plan to have one. And I really do like my midwife. So we'll see what happens. I'll let you know! smile

In response to message posted by mykidzmom:

Congratulations, Jeri! Wow, how exciting! I hope you plan to post your birth story because I'd love to read all about the birth of your new little one! This is your third? How lovely! I'm so happy for you! I find the stories on Laura Shanley's pages SO encouraging and inspiring! I'm glad you liked the article! I feel the same way you do, I want a home birth for my next child, but I'm taking it one step at a time -- we'll see what Mother Nature has in store for us, right!!!
Love and hugs to you and your beautiful children! smile

» laurashanley - What a nice surprise!

I stumbled across this article just now after doing a search on "unassisted childbirth." Wow! I'm honored! I'll add a link from my site.

I read the rest of your articles and they're great! By the way, Jeri (mykidzmom), the woman who left the comment above mine recently gave birth. Although she planned on having a midwife, the baby arrived before the midwife so she got her unassisted birth after all!

Keep up the great work!
