Safe Sunscreens and Bug Repellents for SummerRead the article this discussion is about

» jkoberlein - Timely advice Lara, thanks for the recipes and reminders about sunscreens. I was looking at products at our local natural food store just the other day, in fact. I seem to remember that even the commercially available products should be thrown out every year. I need to replenish my stock, and I was glad to see the SPF 30 that also included the bug repellent. So far I've only found SPF 15 in our stores.Have you tried any of the electronic repellents? Do they work? Thanks, Julia -- posted by jkoberlein » MsPersephone - Natural Bug Repellants Hi, Lara --Thank you for the recipes! We have a really bad mosquito problem where we live, and I have a mild allergy to their bites. I need all the help I can get. :-) -- posted by MsPersephone » Laraliz - Re: Timely advice In response to message posted by jkoberlein:Julia, Thanks for reading my article! I have not tried any electronic repellents -- but I'm curious about that -- what are they -- and where are they available? Are they personal products -- something you put on your body? Or are they for use in the home? Tell me more! -- posted by Laraliz » Laraliz - Re: Natural Bug Repellants In response to message posted by MsPersephone:Thanks, Marie! I hope you find relief from your mosquitos this summer! I'm really allergic to mosquito bites, too! To ease the itch try a paste of baking soda, water and a few drops of lavender essential oil. Smells nice, too! Have a fun summer! -- posted by Laraliz
