» Giants02122 - Silly Season... Hi Tom,Apperently the Busch Series is turning into the NEXTEL Cup of a few years ago where drivers and sponsors where changing rapidly. The sport has gotten much more 'Cup' oriented with its alliances and who can blame them. You look at some deals that are rumored. Bagi Brothers Racing is supposedly teaming up with Chip Gannasi Racing to be an affilate and they most likely can get Ryan Hemphil or Scott Laggesse Jr. for the #4 GEICO/PETBRANDS DODGE if they want. Supposedly Brewco Motorsports and/or ppcRacing will be affilated with Roush Racing (ST Motorsports as well) for driver Greg Biffle's part time run in one of those two teams runs. ppcRacing gets engines from the Roush/Yates powerplant in NEXTEL CUP, which will be coming to the BUSCH Series in 2005. And supposedly SKI Motorsports is getting team help from a NEXTEL Cup Series team (Hendrick I believe) and they will run part time in 2005 and a full schedule in 2006. Also I dont like the 'field fillers' we have now,Keith Colman Racing (#26 and #50) (former Holigan Racing team), Davis Enterprises (#0 and #10). The teams are just underfunded and just not ready to compete in NASCAR racing. Thats why the Racing God's invented the ARCA RE/MAX Series for all teams to see a good schedule and a good amount of sponsor. -- posted by Giants02122 » Tom - Re: Silly Season... He does however have four victories in the ARCA/Re-Max Series. I like ARCA racing, I've been to quite a few of their events, Frank Kimmel and Ted Christopher are always fun to watch. The late Blaise Alexander (from my area) was also a great asset to ARCA (Auto Racing Club of America). -- posted by Tom
