Composers, Librettists, and such:

My name is Adam Leigh and I am the Executive Director of the Dayton Playhouse in Dayton, Ohio. In 2005, we will begin a second season called The FLIP Side. One of the slots will go to a new musical in which the Playhouse will workshop and present twice in one weekend. This spot is called the TheatreLab.

The FLIP Side is an experience that will allow an ever-apparent, fresh breed of theatre the opportunity to foster in a community otherwise unaware of its presence. This series will provide a voice for challenging, life-affirming & thought-provoking material that the Miami Valley area has yet to hear. In an attempt to continue the tradition of FutureFest, the FLIP Side will create a passage for new works, both plays and musicals, to continue on their artistic path. In addition, The FLIP Side will be the only theatrical series locally to present theatre admission-free.

The specifics of The TheatreLab performances are:
The FLIP Side TheatreLab
A Musical Production in Workshop-style Performance
February 17th-18th, 2006
8:00pm

Submissions being accepted as of August 1st, 2005
Deadline for entries is November 15th, 2005.
A selection will be chosen by December 1st, 2005.
