» qwertyuop1 - russian snapshots; wow
In response to hi all am lost on this one posted by Trezyours:Guys, have a look at the photograph section of the renovated russian website.(In the side comments of the russian version of ARLT, LdB mentioned sending along some photos from her own stock. I sure would like to see those.)
A far as moving, geographically speaking, the thread, I really don't know.
There are plenty of advantages with a "real" forum. You can keep up with several discussions on different topics at the same time, include pictures and stuff more easily, stock, classify, read archived posts more easily, everything is cleaner, the layout looks nicer, there are not thousands of ads all over the pages, etc...
The negative point is I don't like the idea of "owning" the place. Being the "boss" and having more power (like deleting) than the others, it's not very democratic! So, really, it's up to you guys. Personnally I'll post where the bulk of the future messages will go.

Hey Qwerty, Like I have said before, I am really stupid when it comes to computers, and I am not understanding how to post or read anything in your forum. What do I need to do?-- posted by wendyb1970

In response to Help please posted by wendyb1970:
To read any thread, you only have to click on the title of the topic. For instance click on "Are you lonesome tonight", You should see 2 messages, someone else's and mine.
You don't have to register for reading. You do if you want to post messages. (little icon at the top "register").
So, good luck. Tell me if you're stuck again.

Well, I have to say, the book is very convincing in many ways and it left me feeling that I wouldn't be surprised if it's true but would like more proof. The statement regarding the handwriting of the poem is certainly very convincing but I would love to hear some of those tapes Lucy mentions. I didn't find the ear signals or outstretched arms convincing as proof at all - anyone could have looked at gestures Elvis made a few times and claimed they were signals. It has certainly piqued my interest and I would love to have the opportunity to do my own research in order to validate or otherwise Lucy's claims.
The fact that Elvis died right when Lucy had decided to tell him and that Vernon also died right when they were going to visit him, made the story sound rather questionable, however.
I'm very surprised that no-one has investigated her claims more fully in order to provide 3rd party proof, one way or the other.
If Lucy's claims are true, it certainly shatters many of my longheld beliefs/impressions, etc. and I'm certainly slightly leaning on the side of them being true.

Hi Ian
Since the changes on this site nothing much has been going on here. Not sure if you have visited Qwerty's site yet? The link is below. There is some very interesting info and video files on Lucy, Desiree and of course Elvis.
There is also a forum there if you would like to join and perhaps discuss further......
Here is the link

» neldis - Just another story
The reason so few people believe this woman is because her story is so ridiculous. If they had the kind of love she claims they had, she'd have told him he had a daughter. Only a cold woman would keep that info from a man she REALLY loved. Plus she won't present any tapes or proof. On the off chance that this woman did have his daughter, and if she really loved him as she claims, she'd have come forward decades ago so that the proof could be presented and her daughter would have a secure future as the child of Elvis Presley. But she didn't and that says a lot. Yeah, she was going to tell him, but he died. Vernon died. None of the friends of elvis knew her or even saw her. And most of what she says consists of things anybody could say or fabricate. It's possible he wrote a poem, so what. Roses? Hand gestures? A handwritten card? No proof.
He had a lot of relationships and it's possible he's got a lot of kids as a result of those relationships so it's slightly possible that this Desi could be his daughter. Most likely elvis and this woman had nothing more than a brief encounter, if that.
There are a lot of losers who write books based on a few minutes or a night they spent with Elvis. Imaginations are sometimes the basis for the most successful books. These though, are successful only because of the ever-gullible fans who are some of the dumbest people in the world, although even publishers aren't as eager for this junk anymore.
The only thing that's really going to get anybody's attention anymore is undeniable proof that he faked his death. THAT would be news.
