You are right she was just a twinkle of an actress. She was born in 1962 and at the age of seven played the character Susan Sadler in Gunsmoke (1955). At the age of three she appeared in the Bonanza episode "No Place to Hide" (1959).

Jodie was a true actress from birth.

Joey - please accept my apologies. My mistake.

My article stated the original dates of Gunsmoke and Bonanza, according to the Internet Movie Data Base (IMDB), which are listed in Jodie's filmography. Apparently they were reproduced in 1971 and 72, these must be remakes of previous year episodes.

The IMDB gives the following listing for Jodie Foster:

1. "Ironside" (1967) playing "Pip Barker" in episode: "Bubble, Bubble, Toil and Murder" 2/3/1972

2. "Gunsmoke" (1955) playing "Marienne" in episode: "Predators, The" (episode # 17.2) 1/31/1972

3. "Gunsmoke" (1955) playing "Patricia" in episode: "P.S. Murry Christmas" 12/27/1971

4. "My Three Sons" (1960) playing "Priscilla" in episode: "Love God, The" 1/8/1971

5. "Daniel Boone" (1964) playing "Rachel" in episode: "Bringing Up Josh" (episode # 6.24) 4/16/1970

6. "Gunsmoke" (1955) playing "Susan Sadler" in episode: "Roots of Fear" (episode # 15.13) 12/15/1969
