» clivingston - A few ideas...

Here are some great clips from "Any Given Sunday":

"On any given Sunday you're gonna win or you're gonna lose. The point is -- can you win or lose like a man?"

"I'm trying to win coach. I ain't trying to disrespect nobody, but winning is the only thing I respect."

You might also try "Rudy", "The Waterboy" and "Jerry Maguire". Most movies centered around sports have at least one or two great motivational lines!

Message:
Everyone knows about the John Belushi scene from Animal House (When the going gets tough . . .) but what are some other appropriate clips that could be used in arenas or at sporting events to motivate the team and crowd. A hockey team put together a few scenes for a pre-overtime presentation starting with Jim Carey as The Riddler saying "Now the real game begins!" then moved onto Matthew Broderick typing at his computer in War Games "What is the primary goal?" Computer: "To Win the Game." THe clip finished with the famous NEtwork scene asking everyone to get up and then switched to the battle cry and charging scene from Braveheart. It's mighty effective. What are some of the best uses of movie clips at sporting events you have seen?

I need a couple of movie ideas for a group of Managers from a Telemarketing firm. We are taking 1/2 day offsite to regroup and have some fun. Any ideas?

This sounds like an awesome idea! I'm looking to do something like this, but wondered if anyone knew of the legal aspects of this? Can I just take movies, slice and dice and put it out there for my team memebers? Or can I get a copy of this particular movie anywhere just to observe. Thanks for any info.

Did you ever create the motivational movie clip video you were discussing here? Did you find a site where something like this can be purchased?
I am thinking of the same movies - Rocky, Braveheart, Rudy, etc.
