is in Spokane, WA - Frank's diner in an old railroad car. They make the best hashbrowns I have ever tasted. They're just off the freeway (I-90) on the Maple Street exit.

Enjoyed your article and the memories it stirred.

Absolutly! Those who don't have memories of a diner, have missed a lot in life. I wish I had a dollar for every meal I've eaten in a diner!   <img src=http://www.suite101.com/files/topics/836... height=18 width=18>

We used to eat at my town's paper mill cafe (Dad worked there) when I was a kid. They made "logger-sized" food and the best hamburgers. It wasn't a diner, but sure felt like one.
