» Bonny Albo - I find it interesting how many of the "big experts" of childrear

I find it interesting how many of the "big experts" of childrearing of the nineties can differ in their opinions so much. And perhaps a little confusing for a parent who may not have the resources available to him/her to deal with the short term difficulties. I know that there are many times where I have been at a loss, and have wanted someone to turn to for advice. Many of these times turning to a book, and ended up being even more confused than I was before! Which is best for my daughter? Who's right, and who's wrong? And which will get me some sleep?!?

Now that the "crazy" first months of my daughter's life have passed, and we are more settled and aware of each other's needs and desires, I find it much easier to parent my daughter. Of course, when I am stumped, I still refer to the "experts", as you did for the seperation anxiety situation (as I did when I noticed the same behaviour!). And I still find solace with my favorites, while tossing what I find unsatisfactory, or unrealistic.

I like the way that the information was presented; almost like a smorgasboard to choose from and try with your own child. Keep these great articles coming, Amy!
