» Sonia_Michaels - Bienvenue! Hi Norman, and welcome to Suite101.com!I'm really looking forward to your series of articles on Montreal's historic sites. I've never been to Quebec, though my husband was born there -- he keeps threatening to drag me on a cross-Canada road trip though, so you never know when I'll show up... :-) -- posted by Sonia_Michaels » jerrib - How very interesting We call Mt. Rainier in Washington State "the mountain" - it's likewise viewed from all over the Seattle to Olympia area and parts south of Washington. But your mountain in the middle of Montreal must really be something.I'd like to see your mountain and park. It sounds beautiful. You have certainly presented us with a fine description. Welcome to the Suite. Enjoy your stay here. Jerri -- posted by jerrib » RosemaryBasil - This is great! Hi Rose-Thanks for your compliments. The French word you are looking for is "caleche" I hope you enjoyed taking a ride in the "caleche" and you did not freeze to death! Regards- Norm Hello again, Norman, Not only did I meet another fine travel writer, I got to revisit Mont Royal! I love the history and I remember the c----? buggy driver (what are they called there again?)telling us some history and such.It is beautiful. Thank you for the article, now I'll have to dig out my photos... -- posted by RosemaryBasil
