» Irene Taylor - Welcome Linda!

Your new topic looks great. I loved the Sara Teasdale article. Your thoughts on the poem Barter are excellent.

Glad to have you on board with your second topic!

This is a favorite topic with me. I will definitely be subscribing to it and look forward to future articles!

Might you write about another neglected 20th century poet, Stephen Vincent Benet? His poetry influenced me greatly when I was young. I still think about his strange visions of society succumbing to the tyranny of machinery and technology.

Thanks for the welcome and the suggestion for an article. I'll definitely look into writing an article about Benet.

» Sunbear - Teasdale

Hi Linda,

Sorry I missed this article. I still remember Teasdale from high school English. Too bad that she is not more respected in academic circles.

I have always admired her imagery and music. "Children's faces looking up/Holding wonder like a cup" has always been one of my favorite lines in English poetry.

I suppose she is not "dark" enough for much of the "literati."

Still miss your articles on this topic. Wish you would adopt it back. I value your writing on poetry so much. I mean it.

Tom
