Welcome to another Aussie to the Suite.

Great article on Anzac Day. It is so important to remember.

Please check out my article on Anzac Day too. There are quite a few articles on Anzac Day and battles on the Suite. Check also the article on Chunuk Bair (from last year) on New Zealand History, a lovely poetic tribute on Tasmania - Apple Isle. There may be others that I haven't seen. There are a lot of Aussies on the Suite now.

Thanks for the comments. As a New Australian (21 years!!) I found out a lot I didn't know while researching it. We always attend the march with our sons who wear their grandparents'and great grandparents' medals - very moving!!

My grandfather was in the Royal Scots and was at Gallipoli (on a different beach) so it has another significance for me personally.

I'm glad you found the article so helpful. As a Scot living in Australia, researching this article brought a whole new understanding of the day to me. I learned so much and have been able to help my sons gain a better understanding of it too!
