One sports writer, I just read, said he thought Ichiro is overated because he lacks the power and OBP (he doesn't walk much) of guys like Manny Ramirez. Hey, the guy is on base in nearly every game, usually more than once, just from hitting (a 22 game hitting streak currently and 15 games before that). As for power, he has lots of arm strength and can hit homers, but helps the Mariners more by getting on base. It's early in the season, but Ichiro says he doesn't have slumps. I believe him!!

Ditto. If you would watch the games and watch how this guy plays, there would be no question in mind that he's a winner. It's about time Seattle gets on the map and Ichiro is making that happen.
