Hi! I have an 8-month old puppy who's a mystery breed, and was hoping someone could help figure out what he is. When I adopted him from the shelter, they had him listed as "German Shepherd/Terrier"... my vet agreed his primary breed is GS, but we're not sure about the rest.You can view pictures of him here - http://www.PictureTrail.com/gid11486121
People at the dog park have made guesses, including Shiba Inu, Basenji, Schipperke (weird with a German Shepherd!), Cattle Dog, Chow Chow, and Manchester Terrier. He basically looks like a small Shepherd (34 lbs.), but with a curly-Q tail. His personality is fairly mellow, and he loves other dogs, people, and even my 2 cats... he can't resist chasing when they're outside, but is otherwise very sweet & gentle with them. He's extremely smart and easy to train (potty trained himself in 3 days), but definitely has a stubborn streak. Basically, he doesn't obey unless he feels like it, or if he knows I'm REALLY serious! He also makes some weird sounds, which adds to the Basenji theory... when he's excited or frustrated, he makes a noise that sounds like a cross between Chewbacca and Scooby-Doo. ;-) Well, hopefully that gives you an idea of what he is... thanks in advance for any guesses!
