Several years ago, I noticed that a lot of dancers were treating Egyptian style as the only interpretation of Oriental dance that mattered, and I wondered why. So I dug into it to find out for myself. Recently, when brainstorming over what to write about, it occurred to me that other people might also be curious about this, so I decided to share what I had discovered.
