» CarolWallace - I AGree You mentioned this to me a while back and I bought it and it has a permanent place on my bookshelf. If you have trouble locating this book, two good places to try are half.com or Powells Boostore http://www.powells.com - both great sources for gardenbooks at bargain prices. In fact I was cleaning out the bookshelves myself a couple of weeks back and put a lot of my own books up for sale at half.com - not because they were no good but because they were duplicates, or not in my area of interest, or more basic that I need right now, -- posted by CarolWallace » Kirk_Johnson - Re: I AGree In response to message posted by CarolWallace:I assume that these are the articles that were first published in Horticulture magazine. If so, the first 15 chapters are excellent. I wasm't as impressed with the more practical articles. -- posted by Kirk_Johnson » Treeman - Re: Re: I AGree Yes Kirk, they were the one and the same. Part II of the book is much more Eck's personal experience and philosophy. I read(present tense) it as being more instructive on apprach considerations as opposed How to/what to. I think Eck was trying to avoid dictating a a moethodolgy that might get stylized. The last thing he wants is 3,000,000 look alike gardens accross the face of the landscape. In response to message posted by Kirk_Johnson: -- posted by Treeman
