» nckerr2002 - Two suggestions

If you read my earlier posts, I have become quite knowledgeable on this subject. I in no way give advice to replace your doctors. However, a lot of Doctors have been impressed by my own knowledge of this painful disease.

1. I am not too sure Septra is a good drug, make sure you ask your doctor if they tested all different antibiotics against your particular strain. Bactrim DS is a promising drug. Also ask that everyone in your family be prescribe Mupirocin for your nasals. This kills the bug where it colonizes (in your nose). Also, take your dogs and animals to the Vet to have their nasals swabbed and tested for MRSA. If your whole family is treated and cured but your dog is colonized, it will reinfect the humans!

2. Anytime you see a bump, take pure tea tree oil and use a cotton ball to apply it to the bump even in its beginning stages. Do this three times daily (except for faces) use only once or twice daily. This same oil (available at GNC or vitamin world and sometimes Walmart)also cures back acne. This may dry your skin, but if you use it only for suspected bumps that may be MRSA, it works.

3. Hand sanitize a lot throughout your day. I mean like Purell or alcohol based rinseless sanitizer. Before and after you touch others and also food, bottles etc.

4. Lysol spray your toilet seats after every use.

5. This costs a lot, but if you have sores that will not heal, use Actisorb silver dressings. Silver kills MRSA faster than antibiotics. If you cant afford or find actisorb silver, most drug stores sell Curaid silver bandaids.

I have also heard that bleach in bath water works, but be careful. You wouldnt want to bleach your skin and hair.

6. For females that shave their vaginal areas, use a new razor every time. Or use peroxide on your razor before every use.

Hygeine is a must. Tea tree oil is definitely a must.

email me at nckerr2002@yahoo.com for advice or questions. Remember, I am not a doctor, just someone that has gone thru this and beat it! I take no responsibilities for anyone that has an adverse reaction <---my dont think about sueing me disclaimor if something goes wrong!
