Hey,

DON'T DROP OUT OF SCHOOL. I am 22 and suffering from BO too and honestly it has stifled my ltremendouslyusly. So much that I currently am taking on-lineline classes in school.(Next semester I will be going to classes regularly.) I have loss friends, had problems at jobs and constant mocking from strangers.

I know sometimes its hard and very painful but stay positive and don't give up. I haven't. I won't let this thing beat me. I don't know how religious you are but sometimes we go through things to test us. I wake up some mornings like why the hell me? But then I think that it alotd alot worst. I mean I can't be a normal 22 year odontI dont go out dontI dont socialize a whole lot.

What I do know is that no matter what I am dealing with, nothing is going to stop me from progressing. I just ignore all the negative remarks around me. I kill bad comments with a smile or just laugh it off. I know that I ain't dirty(I bathe 3 to 4 times a day) and I know I am a good person. Anything else is none sense.

Just stay positive and don't give up.

i tried the vitamin thing did not work for me. what is enzara and where can i purchase it.

to precious4eva i have been going through this for a while its hard on all of us but u just have to keep your head up. there are days i stay inside so i won't have to deal with it. on days i am going outside i prepare my mind to face whatever people have to say. i think the only person in the world who does not mind being around me is my daughter sometimes she is the only reason i still feel like living. so find something or someone you find comfort in and focus on that.

» hadenuff3 - Back to basic

I have tried this for two weeks now and it is working for me. For the first time in years I don't have BO. I'm not selling any of this nor am I saying it will work for you. But for the first time I used it took about three days for the smell to stop!
All I am doing is using Lever 2000 original (perfectly fresh) soap. I have found a deodorant! manufactor is NOW - Long-lasting deodorant cream. I orginally ordered their stick that had lavender in it and all that did was make it worse. This is a very thick cream. Like I said it took a couple of days for it to work. You want to be sure if your a woman to shave your underarms. It is hard to get off. So be sure to use a wash cloth. And shower every day and apply only once! The first two days I did wash after about 4 hrs,but not now! You can order off the internet or if you have a health food store near you, the NOW web site can show you which one might carry it or they can order it for you. Mine cost $6.00 through a store near me, on the internet some have it for less. Any wal mart or grocery store carries lever soap. Let me know if any of you try and if it works for you or not.
I'm so glad to have found something that works longer than a few days and is not costing a fortune.

Do not let this ruin your education, go to the health center.
Although most body odor is not caused by illness, anyone with a serious body odor problem should get checked by a physician just in case. THere are lots of illnesses that can cause funny smells, eg diabetes (fruity fermented), liver problems (mousy), renal failure, cystic fibrosis. If you also have excessive sweating it can occur on its own or be a symptom of another disease.

Assuming there is no underlying disease try cutting down on onions, garlic. then you need to get rid of the bacteria that are living on your skin and making smelly compounds. First of all get rid of all underarm hair and hair anywhere you have skin folds eg bellyfat folds, breast fat folds, buttocks, pubic hair, etc. the bugs love to live on hair where it is damp and protected. By shaving you destroy their major home. Then get an antiodorant that contains zinc oxide or you can make your own with zinc oxide powder or zinc oxide barrier cream (commercial preparations, Lavilin, Yodora, Trust, usually add antibacterial extracts from herbs such as thymol) and apply before going to bed. This should kill the bugs for up to 5 days.
A dermatologist will have other suggestions if this does not work. Good luck.

This is why I have mentioned Long lasting deodorant cream by the company NOW. It contains zinc oxide, and arnica which is a herb that was mentioned in another message board, plus other ingredients. It is all in one product you don't have to run all over to get items and mix your own. Just go to the NOW website. Yes Lavilin is a deodorant made by this same company but it costs twice as much and I feel it didn't work as well plus I don't this one use it at night. Like I said I don't sell anything I'm looking for products the same as all that come to this site. I have been on this message board before searching. I'm sorry but I don't think that a person has to shave every hair off of their body!Shaveing underarms yes, but cleaning (bathing daily) is what we all do! I'm suggesting a cost effective product I hope some of you at least go to the web site and read about the deodorant. I've been suffering with this problem for years, spent hundreds of dollars a month on products, seen many DRS. had underarms burned raw with products and this is the first that has given me releif without a production of mixing products, going without certain foods, costing a fortune, burning my skin, and haveing to be reapplied during the day. I'm done I hope someone else will try it!!!!!

Hi

I have the same problem with BO noted since I began menstrating. It got particularly bad during and following my 2 pregnancies with no let up and on the days prior to my periods.

I have sought help many times from my GP but they have bascially dismissed me as being mad as they couldn't give me answers to my BO problem besides washing more which I do anyway.

I discovered that my diet and weight gain(to an extent) has played a huge factor in the BO. For me after much trial and error, I have cut down on spicy foods/herbs i.e garlic and red meats. This was as my BO was all over my body, particularly im my private areas.

I've been teased, looked down on, laughed at and made to feel nasty by colleagues at work as they believe I'm a dirty person who doesn't wash.

This has got me really down as this is far from the truth. I shower 3 x a day, morning during lunch and evening. I have found that since I have been going to the steam room my skin has improved tremdously and the amount of underarm sweat has greatly reduced. I feel more confident to lift my arms up without having them stuck by my side due to huge wet patches.as cut down.

I have a found that there has been no one cure but I have had to adjust my eating and overall routines as follows,

1. Drink as much water as you can with a slice of lemon to help flush your system out, particularyly 1st thing in the morning. Continue to drink as much water as you can during the day.
2. Cut down or out on sugar, this triggers thrush imn me and general body itching.
3. Wear cotton/linen only.
4. Use white vinegar to wash your clothes (approx 1/2 cup and add 2 tbs spoons of bicarbonate of soda) as this helps to neturalise sweat and takes the smell out of the clothes. For this I use a spray gun with white veinegar and spray the swaety parts of my clothes. Leave for approx 1 hour and wash. Rinse thoroughly on a prolonged cycle. Always spray the white vinegar on dirty clothes even if you're not washing them straight away..it won't harm the clothes and the BO smells come out from the clothes.
5. I Use Sure Anti-perspirant a deodrant that doesn't leave white marks.
6. I appear to be alergic to Aloe Vera deodrant products as they don't work & make me smell worse.
^ I have a steam at least 4 x per week as this grattly helps to control the BO. However, make sure you drinks lots of water during and after your steam to re0hydrate your body...if not as I've found the BO comes back with a vengance.
7. Cut down on fruit juices & alcohol, & fizzie as this adds to my BO.
8. Also, after a steam I shower myself with cold water as cold as I can stand which helps to cut down on BO & reduces sweating greatly..
9. Eat lots of fruit & veg and natural products as much as possible, cut down on the junk food.
10. I buy inexpensive cotton tops and throw them away every 9- 16 weeks as I have noticed that at times the Bo is actually coming from my clothes onto my skins even though my clothes are freshly laundered.
11. I also buty 2-3 tops in the same colur/style and change into these during the day after having a shower or a wash at a gym near to my office.
I also use antibacterial or lemon soaps which also helps to cut down on the BO.
12. I wear fresh clothing compeltely every day and cannot wear a cardigan for 2 days.
13. Cut down on stress and do cardio excerises at least once a week.

Like a said its a whole routine I have to go through but when I stick to it the BO goes completely.

Good luck everyone. Hope my post my also help someone.
