Can you guys smell yourselves? How are you aware of your bo? Can you detect it or do you rely on feedback from other people, like facial reactions and putting their hands up to their noses, etc.

usually I can't smell my self. But i sure can tell when other people smell me by there reactions . Most people will put there arms in the air or they start fanning themselves or there facial expressions will surely let me know that i smell. Mitchum has been the most effective but i have discovered sometimes I don't smell but eventhough i wash my clothes they still have an odor and i am not rich enough to buy clothing everyday. Can anyone tell me how do you get the smell out of your clothes.

Whats funny is that i can never tell if i smell or not.I can only tell if people hold there fingers up to their nose, caugh, sigh, stand back clear their throughts and stuff like that,But whats funny is that i could take a shower for 25 min more than once a day and people will still react,But all i can smell is my deoderant,soI just bring wetnaps with me and my deoderant.

Hi,
actually the name of the gel is mitchum gel/plus i use lady mitchum you can got to www.cvs.com and in the search box type in mitchum and a whole list of mitchum products will show up on your screen.I know what you mean about going in to the work force and being scared,me myself am an exotic dancer and it is very uncomfortable being that close up to people. But you gotta do what you gotta do,I bring my deoderant with me and just wash off every 5hrs because if I dont smell the scent of it I get nervous.plus I use to use a lot of perfume but people dont like that I know see. byyyyye.

» Fred62 - Have we gone as far as we can go?

Hey perignon and pleasehelp68,

Clean smelling clothes, a good anti-bacterial soap in the shower, a strong deoderant. What else can we do? I like to think I coming to terms with it, but I was at the market and some old lady who looked like a vagrant was standing next to me and she smelled and I wondered if I smell like her on a good day. It made me sad, but I remembered we're doing everything we can. Maybe we should stop making ourselves crazy over it.

Also, when you were growing up did your parents make you bathe regularly and teach you good hygiene? Or did you have to figure it out yourself and make lots of mistakes along the way. That's how it was for me.

my parents did teach me good hygiene but thats not the problem because I shower everyday. I live in a house with people who take a bath whenever they feel like and they still don't smell. may be i am going crazy over it but I really don't know what else to do. But you are right I guess I just have to accept it.I just wish everyone else would understand. thank God for this forum it has really helped me with daeling with this issue.
