» H2O - Luther on the Lord's Prayer

Luther placed such an importance on the Lord's Prayer that he made it one of the six main doctrines that every Christian should know, as expounded in his "Large" and "Small Catechisms." And Luther in the "Large Catechism" DID write an article on each line! I encourage any student of the Lord's Prayer to take a look at Luther's words.

My personal opinion is that the Lord's Prayer sums up everything Jesus taught us. It's a guide as to how we're supposed to live, think and interact with others.

Love, Light and Blessings,
Yvette

Yes, a profound work, but the translation loses some meaning when the original Aramaic is used.
In the Aramaic, the most profound metaphysical concepts present themselves. You see, Aramaic is a tonal, representational language which has seven meanings, all inter-related to every word. One gets the King James version, which is one; plus the other six as well. Beauty beyond expression. I recommend the translation of Dr. Neil Douglas-Klotz, Sufi Master and world renowned author for the best translation I've yet seen. Brilliant work.

Whenever I find myself in bad situations I always say this prayer. I think long and hard on the line " Thy Will Be Done" and it always comforts and encourages me because I know that Gods will for me is only good.

The work by Neil Douglas Klotz is beautiful indeed, however it isn't a direct translation from Aramaic. It's actually a mystical or metaphysical interpretation of the Lord's prayer directly from Aramaic.

Your articles on the Lord's Prayer are very good.

Although I understand how there are no coincidences in Spirit, I'm still very fascinated that I've been preoccupied with the study of The Lord's Prayer this past week and then I "stumble" across this site....

If you haven't already done so, check out Emmett Fox's expanded metaphysical interpretation of The Lord's Prayer. You'll Find it in his book titled, THE SERMON ON THE MOUNT.

Peace and Blessings,

SKS

Jesus Christ die for our sins and his blood was shed for us. There is no other name under heaven by which men must be saved. Unless you believe in Jesus andsaccept him into your heart you reject God and will burn in hell. The are many false prophets out there and metaphysics is one of them, if you follow their way you reject the one who we are suppose to follow- the Lord Jesus Christ.
