» _Boanerges_ - understanding the purposes

Christians should pray for the peace of Jerusalem with a proper understanding of the purposes of God's Kingdom. Christians should stand for Israel!

Hello Virignia..
Your article explains quite well why we should pray for the peace of Jerusalem. I am often confused on why this should be, when the bible reveals to us that no matter what, it will descend into an all out hell. But, you bring to mind that by doing this, we are saying, come Lord, come.

This artcile helps me to understand this call, this command if you will, and why it is so very important, especially in a day when mainline Christianity has rejected Israel.

This is probably one of the reasons I have been so ..... uhmm.. looking for the right word .... uhmm.. 'disheartened' by what is claimed as the Christian church today. Not to say there are not Godly churches out there, I know there are. But, in truth and in fact, Christianity (corporate) is just about apostate as it will get, in my opinion. We have probably a small little step left until the church will no longer be Christ's church. Christianity has for the most part, abandoned Israel. And, as the prophets and apostles foretold, this day would come. And.. the day is close when all nations will surround Jerusalem.

This leads me to your current article, which I will post there also... but.. I'm seriously considering looking for a nice Messianic church to attend and call my own. I will keep you posted. Who knows actually? Maybe I just might be a Jew after all.. One day though, I assume my DNA will tell me if that is true or not... However, I'm fairly confident that I'm a Gentilesmile. but, more on that in your other article 'A Gentile's View of Messianic Jews'....

Tina, I did not forget you. A appreciate your visit as always and your ray of sunshine and encouragement. As we pray for peace of Jerusalem, let us be convicted that our prayers will be answered in accordance with biblical prophesy.

You have stated quite accurately, Wendell. As I was watching those horrible events unfold in New Orleans, I could not help but think how this would be replayed at a later date, quad-magnified, and all the while pre-tribulationists are mocked and scoffed at for sharing God's Word on coming prophetic events. Before this hurricane came into Florida even, I said to my mother--something BAD is going to happen to America, because we were one who forced Sharon into this Disengagement, this attempt for a false peace. I cried as I saw the Jews in Gaza being pulled from their homes and roof-tops, and their loss of everything! I heard them saying "I don't know where to go. Tell me where we are going." Then I heard the evacuees in New Orleans saying on TV, "I don't know where to go. Tell me where we are going." It does not take a rocket scientist to figure out this parallel.

quite interesting...
I was watching Dr Reagen interview Bill Koeing, as he was pointing out these same type things everytime something happens to Israel. Quite interesting indeed.

my puter crashed! had to start a new message!

Wow... what a powerful statement, V.. I have been thinking the same thing. 'In that day' we can now clearly see how helpless mankind will be when God's wrath begins to unfold.

Even on this website, we can see how people continue to mock God and his people. We can see now, how everyone will start blaming everyone and no one will be calling out to God. Well, what I mean by saying 'no one' actually are those who will reject God all the way down the line. We do know that a great number will finally turn towards God and be saved, through death and destruction.

I believe these things we are witnessing are just a tiny look at what is coming. And of course, Israel has suffered these things throughout the ages. All one has to do is read Jeremiah's Lamentations and watch Shinders List....

Actually, I have much to say about these things we have been watching, and all the responses to this event. It is stunning to see all that which is confusing, especially all the mocking. I'm seriously considering suspending my current series and start a new one; post-Katria..... What is God saying to us?.. (or something like that).. But, I'm not sure if I have the patience to do it. I am sure I would be riped to shreds if I do... but then... such is our waysmile...

Well, you have been ripped to shreads before, many times. (Remember I started calling you Stephen?!)And, no one has to read the articles if they offend them, but they will be there for those who do read them.

I think a new series on post-Katrina and the possibilities of what led up to it is a great idea. O, indeed! God is saying plenty to us. Trouble is few are listening.
We need Watchmen on the Walls today!

I was getting ready to shut down when I checked here first. On my way to the book store to see if they have Bill Koenig's book "Eye to Eye: Dividing Israel." v.

yes indeed.... and you have too.... There are those in God's church who are called out to be the Jeremiah's and Stephens, and unfortunately (or not) I am one of them. It is truly a burden. I wished at times that I could do as Jeremiah and try to foget it all, but like him, "Then I said, I will not make mention of him, nor speak any more in his name. But his word was in mine heart as a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I was weary with forbearing, and I could not stay" (Jer:20:9)

And, no one has to read the articles if they offend them, but they will be there for those who do read them.

indeed true... and, for the latter, that is why... the question is, am I (or better, are we) willing to make the pronouncement of such bad news, and are we willing and able to stand once the onslaught comes back onto our heads. Only the Lord knows.. I cannot say...

I think a new series on post-Katrina and the possibilities of what led up to it is a great idea.

I do as well.... would you consider a partnership in this effort? Shall be stand together? Your courage, strength and good name would create such a foundation on which to stand. What say ye?smile

We do need a watchman... I pray that the Lord will send one.. and soon...

We do need a Watchman. . .I pray the Lord will send one...

"And Moses cried unto the Lord, saying, What shall I do unto this people? They be almost ready to stone me. And the Lord said unto Moses, Go on. . ." Exodus17:4-5a

the pronouncement of such bad news

Well, some take it as bad news, others look on it as good news. It depends on one's spiritual viewpoint. As I recall, there was an author here who was writing on the Four Horses of the Apocalypse. I am not sure if he is still on board or not.
