I remember, right before he disappeared, my brother made a comment about if I loved my dog, like a person. I never thought of loving my dog such as say, my brother or sister. Yet, after he disappeared, oh.. my.. did I love that ole dog. What a good friend. I looked and looked for him, but.. he was gone for good.. Such a burden that was, and is. Only time now has healed this loss. He was a good ole boy.. so smart.. so much fun.. Yep.. I loved him like a brother. What made it even more harder was the fact that I was told his disappearance was from suspicious reasons. Well.. I have never seen Bear since that day. But, I know he knew he was loved and I hope that I gave him a good home.. I will see him again. 13 years is a privelage for sure.. I can tell by looking at his picture he too is a happy dog.. He too will always be, even though we may be seperated for just a short while... I remember that a few years back, I found a nice picture of my Bear that I had taken, and long had forgotten. I was happy to find it, and now, it sits in the other room. Everyone always talks about him, even to this day, five years later, We have so many fun, good stories of my ole Bear. He was part of our family for sure. I learned a lesson that day, and I won't soon forget it as well. Everyone keeps askin me when I will get another Labrador. I think I will start looking for one again, maybe even a Yellow one! You offered some very good, sound biblical principles, worthy to follow up with. Maybe tommorrow then.. but for now.. I will let you go so you can spend a little extra time with more important things, such a giving Bear a little extra time, all just for him -- posted by _Boanerges_
