Jessanne, I was sure you were talking about my son and not your daughter. LoL. My son showed the same symptoms at an early age. He is six now and was unable to attend kindergarten for more than 5 weeks before being sent to a behavioral day treatment program which he was sent home not to return because of aggression. I have been doing IEP's (individual education plans), you'll be there too. I have now got him on medication after many refusals. The medication I am really pleased with is RESPIRDAL, his moods have become nearly non-existant. He is also on DEPAKOTE. I actually would like to share a book with you called "The Bipolar Child" by Demitri F. Papolos MD. This book has been a real eye opener for me from Diagnosis and treatment to living and coping with bipolar. Page 244 gives an account of what one mother does during her childs meltdowns in public.
I feel for you and have been there. If you have any more questions feel free to call on me.

Russell
