Sampras Surpasses the Greats

I know Pete is a fantastic tennis player - one of the great, certainly and maybe even the best to ever play? - so why do I still dislike him so much?!! Just can't get over that!!

Wimbledon was great though - I loved the semi with Andre and Patrick. As always I missed it when it was over.
Here's to next year!

I've read so many articles asking the question is Pistol Pete the best ever. You better believe that he is the best and will be considered the best for a very long time. Yes Laver could have had more Grand Slams if he hadn't turned pro but there is no denying that Tennis and professional sports is a totally different monster these days. The pressure is so great that it's hard enough for athletes to make it to the big time. How would Laver respond to todays media breathing down his neck 24/7 and asking the same boring stupid question?

Aggasi is a great player and will always be a legend of the game but in no way does he compare to Pete. He can't even keep his head or game together for 3 years straight. How about doing it for 10 years, winning at least one grand slam for the past 8 years. Who can compare??? NOBODY!!

So he hasn't won the French....Who cares anyway!! Don't get me wrong I love watching the French and if Pete won it everybody even John McConroe would have to say that Pete is the Best of All-Time, even is he isn't the most flashy player on the tour. It's about the results and Pete has the results.
