I really enjoy reading your articles so of course I hope you stay on. What an alterior motive! I've been writing my columns here since late 1997, so when you count up how much I've been paid, and then factor in the really hefty sum I made from Suite stock options in Feb of 2000, I could go on writing for years more and still feel satisfied financially. HEY! It's alot better than the sum I make hosting the Canadian garden forum at Sympatico / Lycos and actually that takes much more time.

I think the most driving issue here though is that I've put so much efffort in that it would be a real drag to just let it all disappear now. Same with you! You have a great compendium of articles, 112 in all. I can't say I've read them ALL (I only twigged to your presence here about 1 year ago) but I've read quite a few and always love to hear what you have to say about what is happening currently in media.

It will be really interesting to see what happens with Suite101.com. I think there are enough editors here with the same kind of loyalty not only to their own work, but also to the concept (or various concepts) that have been relayed to us regarding what the Suite is all about.

OMG!!! WHAT ON EARTH WILL I DO WITHOUT SUITE101... :-(
IT IS MY FAVORITE, AND MOST OFTEN VISITED BY ME...AND I HAVE RECOMMENDED IT TO MANY MORE...I HAVE LEARNED SO MUCH HERE, AND IT'S LIKE A PRIVATE LIBRARY IN MY OWN HOME. I'M A SHUT-IN AND CAN'T GET OUT WITHOUT SOMEONE TAKING ME. SUITE101 HAS BEEN LIKE A COMPANION, AND A VIRTUAL LOAD OF INFO FOUND NO WHERE ELSE.
I LOVE HOW YO TYPE IN A TOPIC, AND BINGO! TONS TO CHOOSE FROM :-) THEN YOU HAVE THE IDEAL SITUATION WHERE OTHER PEOPLE LEAVE LINKS TO OTHER GREAT INFO. IT WOULD BE JUST TOO SAD IF THAT WAS GONE :-( I'D BE SO DISAPPOINTED :-( {8-O

So, have you made any real money on any on-line sites?

It appears that other than byline, the on-line medium is truly being regarded as a free press, however, this will undergo a major change in the next five years. At least I believe it will.

Regulations being now enacted to have more hands-on the Internet will raise the cost of activity and payment for information will eventually take control.
