Why is it that many of today's students don't turn in their homework -- even though they complete it on time? I don't remember that ever happening when I was in school.Hank

Yes - this is one of the big problems! It usually stems from a lack of preparation at home. One of my favorite tips was putting the packed bookbag right by the front door so that the kids couldn't miss it when they left for school the next morning.
Sometimes teachers and parents need to work together to come up with some creative ways around this problem.
